Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a remarkably effective therapy approach used to overcome the emotionally painful effects of trauma and a wide range of other emotional conditions. It has been shown to be twice as effective in HALF the amount of time of standard traditional psychotherapy treatments alone. EMDR is a combination of traditional talk therapy and bilateral stimulation following an eight-phase model.
EMDR is known to be effective with survivors of trauma, however, it can be used for many other challenges you may be struggling with (i.e. hoarding, panic attacks, fear of flying, phobias, disassociation and addiction, etc.). Many clients have experienced relief from symptoms and have noticed dramatic improvements in the quality of their lives. As mentioned, EMDR has been used successfully to help people overcome other challenges.

How does EMDR therapy look like with you?
I am trained by EMDRIA, which is the founder's (Francine Shapiro's) institute. I follow the protocol, so in the first session we will gather your history and do an assessment. You and I will be talking (without details) about the memories you would be targeting/talking about. After this, I like to have my clients try the machines (light bar for eye movements, buzzies for bilateral stimulation on your palms, or headphones for audio) and the traditional style of EMDR bilateral stimulation (following my fingers, or self tapping). After you select your preference we will be installing a resource for you (resource is a fancy word for coping skills). Once this is "installed," we will begin selecting which trauma we will begin to desensitize. After that we go through the following 4 phases, and begin from the start for a new target memory. I pay close attention to my clients' needs and reactions, and without interrupting the EMDR process, and help my clients become properly prepared for EMDR sessions, so that my clients do not leave the session feeling overwhelmed with emotions. EMDR does not erase the trauma memories, but rather processes them in a deeper way where they do not feel so emotionally charged, and provide you more empowerment.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It is based on the principle that a "life force energy" flows through us, and it's this energy that keeps us alive and well. When this energy is low or blocked, we are more likely to feel stressed or fall ill; when it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. In my Reiki sessions, I channel this energy to you, helping to heal your body, mind, and spirit.

Individual Reiki Sessions: Each session is a unique experience, tailored to meet your personal needs. I focus on transferring healing energy to you, which can aid in relaxation, alleviate pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness.

Distance Reiki Healing: Energy knows no boundaries. With distance Reiki, you can receive healing no matter where you are. It’s as effective as an in-person session and can be a convenient option if you can't travel.

Reiki for Stress Reduction: In these hectic times, Reiki can be a powerful tool to manage stress and anxiety. It promotes relaxation and brings balance to both the mind and body.

My standard rate is $250 for each 50 minute session for individuals and $300 for couples/families.
I offer services at my small ranch in Woodland Hills/Topanga Cyn., Ca, and virtually via telehealth.
I do accept sliding scale for payment, to be negotiated based on what you can afford, prior to your first session.

The journey towards mental health and wellness is unique for every person. There is no single model or technique that will be effective for every person at every point in their life. I believe in building a collaborative therapeutic relationship that works to identify and respond to diverse experiences, identities and support needs. I use a variety of experiential, expressive, humanistic and trauma informed skills in my practice. I explore things from a multicultural lens that allows me to understand your individual needs through active listening, empathy, and from a non-judgmental standpoint.
My office is nestled in a private nook in Topanga Canyon/Woodland Hills, which allows for out of the box therapy not just in an office but also with the option to be outdoors, and interact and heal with animals. In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems, relationship conflicts, and improve overall mental health. I believe that meeting the client where they are is imperative. As an integrative therapist I combine some of the most deeply powerful personal growth practices, including: ancient and modern wisdom traditions, various perspectives on talk therapy, eco-therapy, perinatal and postpartum therapy and EMDR. I am also bilingual and provide services in Spanish.


I offer one or two hour initial sessions during wherever you feel most comfortable either in my office, outdoors or with the Prosper Ranch animals. During this time I gather critical information about you in order to assess the best goals for you and effectiveness of therapy. I will review my policies, your rights in therapy, including the limits of confidentiality. I will also answer any questions about therapy that you may have.
